A eleven day journey travelling to Phnom Penh, Siem Reap in Cambodia and Chiang Mai in Thailand.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Your journey begins in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh, rich in culture and history, Cambodia still suffers from the traumatic after-effects of destructive Khmer Rouge rule. Here we will visit organisations working to end human trafficking and the poverty that makes girls vulnerable to this vicious trade through education. You will gain fascinating insights into the value of education for Cambodian girls and how offering girls education disrupts the human trafficking industry. We will stay at the beautiful Plantation Urban Resort and Spa, a tranquil oasis right in the middle of Phnom Penh’s bustling city, a place to relax and decompress after the day.

Siem Reap, Cambodia

You will also experience the tranquillity of Siem Reap and visit the Seventh Wonder of the World, Angkor Wat. We will stay at the Park Hyatt Hotel, a stunning sanctuary in the middle of town. Here we will meet with an NGO that works in the poorest rural slums, providing outreach programs and social services to those most vulnerable to trafficking. In the evening we head to the red-light district of Siem Reap, where many victims of trafficking end up. In Siem Reap we will also visit a chicken farm, where women are trained to succeed in their own business.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Then we fly to beautiful Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand, a city considered as one of the world’s finest tourist destinations and home to the country’s most sophisticated anti-trafficking organisation. We will learn about their prevention, rescue and rehabilitation programs, all a part of their holistic approach to combating trafficking. We will stay in the centre of Chiang Mai in the Tamarind Hotel, a stunning property close to all of the sights.

Exclusive Retreat, Thailand

We complete the journey by taking time-out to reflect and relax at one of the world’s most wonderful retreat centres, Anantara Resort. Education Icon

Supporting Girls' Education

Fund 140 girls to attend the She Project for a year. This program encourages girls to stay in school and educates families on the harm of leaving school at a young age. The girls all come from poor schools in urban slum areas around Phnom Penh. Based out of a community centre and involving schools, the program runs the following activities for the girls; English and computer classes, life skills, career development workshops, craft activities, cultural outing and girls clubs.

Trafficking Icon

Preventing Trafficking in Cambodia

Fund a trafficking prevention, outreach program, reaching 170 at risk street children in the red-light district of Phnom Penh. The Cambodian Government has found new cases of child sex trafficking to be occurring in this district, at night. Victims can be as young as three. To prevent this, the team's head out during the evening to connect with the children on the streets, to build relationships and help them avoid predators. The outreach programs often facilitates rescues, taking the victims to their nearby ‘safe house.’

Trafficking Icon

Preventing Trafficking in Thailand

Fund four outreach programs that will head to the most remote Thailand villages, reaching up to 300 children per trip. The outreach programs aim to prevent trafficking through education and raising awareness of this horrendous crime. During the programs they will work with schools, village leaders and prominent officials to bring light to the issue in the most at-risk communities. We will also be able to fund an Awareness Outreach Program at the Mae Sot Child Development centre, reaching over 800 migrant children. Lastly we will be able to fund three Mae Hong Song Outreach trips that will train university interns on how to effectively create awareness and provide education around trafficking.
